MT8870n - DTMF Module
DTMF Decoding: The primary function of the MT8870 module is to decode DTMF signals. It can detect and identify the specific DTMF tone pairs associated with each button on a telephone keypad.
Dual-Tone Detection: The module is capable of detecting the two simultaneous tones that make up each DTMF signal. These tones represent the row and column frequencies of the pressed button.
Digital Output: When a valid DTMF signal is detected and decoded, the module provides a digital output corresponding to the pressed button, allowing a microcontroller or other digital device to take action based on the detected tone.
16-Key Operation: The module can decode all 16 DTMF tones associated with the 12 standard telephone keypad buttons (0-9, *, #) and four additional auxiliary keys (A, B, C, D).
Adjustable Gain: Some MT8870 modules allow for gain adjustment to improve the sensitivity and accuracy of tone detection, especially in noisy environments.
Serial Data Output: Some variants of the module may provide a serial data output option, which can be used to transmit the decoded DTMF information to a microcontroller or computer.
