CD4047 Monostable/Astable Multivibrator-IC
Multivibrator Function: The CD4047 can operate in both monostable and astable multivibrator modes. In the monostable mode, it generates a single pulse in response to an external trigger signal. In the astable mode, it produces a continuous square wave output.
Monostable Mode: In monostable mode, the CD4047 can be triggered by an external pulse or signal applied to the trigger (TRIG) input. It then produces a single pulse of a duration determined by external timing components.
Astable Mode: In astable mode, the CD4047 generates a continuous square wave output. The frequency of this output is determined by external resistors and capacitors connected to the timing pins (RT and CT).
Power Supply Voltage: The CD4047 typically operates with a power supply voltage in the range of 3 volts to 15 volts, making it compatible with various digital and analog systems.
Output Waveform: The CD4047 can produce a square wave output that can be used as a clock signal, oscillator, or timing reference in various electronic circuits.
Applications: The CD4047 is commonly used in applications such as pulse generation, precision timing, frequency synthesis, waveform generation, and oscillator circuits.
