10 Kilo ohm NTC Thermistor
10K Ohm NTC Thermistor is a special type of resistor whose value changes in accordance with its surrounding temperature. It is made by combining several metal oxides. This is an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) type thermistor. Hence as the temperature increases then the resistance of the thermistor decreases and vice versa.
It is a simple way to measure air temperature or the temperature of an adjacent device or surface. The resistance is 10K Ohms at 30°C and decreases as temperature increases. It is extremely easy to interface to the analog input pins on an Arduino, Net Arduino, Raspberry Pi or other microcontroller (PIC, AVR, etc.), as well as an easy device to use in analog circuits.
